This album is a collection of songs written between June 2009 and August 2010. Recorded in Oct.2010... All the instrumental portions were recorded as a whole in one take... vocal parts are all one take as well; with the only exceptions being certain portions where layering felt necessary...
Every step to preserve the original feel of the live versions was taken and in our opinion we came as close as we possibly could... Owlscry is a live band and always will be about the live performance... that is how these songs were designed... These songs had thier own existance on stages and in dwellings as intamate performances long before they were ever recorded in a studio.... but the journey for them ends here....
Owlscry will return in the future, but as something almost completely unrecognizable to those who know not the knowledge of our past... Our intention was never to be this or that; or like any anyone or any band, but to make dark music...
